Season 3

‘Friday Night Lights’ season 3 was premiered on October 1, 2008 and the season opener was entitled ‘I Knew You When’. 13 episodes are planned for the third season of ‘Friday Night Lights’. 11 episodes have been aired yet and the remaining two will be aired in the beginning of January. In the season opener, we saw that Tami, being the principal, had issues with school’s claims about lack of funds. She discovered that whenever it came to education, school never had enough money but when it’s about football, school was always ready to sponsor football programs. On the other hand, Tyra realized that she might not get the admission in her desired college because of her poor grades. Tension stepped up between Lyla and Riggins’ relationship. Eric was seen trying to continue his job and to help Smash spring back. Second episode of third season of ‘Friday Night Lights’ was entitled ‘Tami Knows Best’ and here we saw Coach Taylor trying his best in helping Smash’s attempts to go to college tryouts. Tyra’s actions annoyed Tami. Matt faced his estranged mother while helping his grand mother. Lyla faced some tension raising matters. Next episode we saw was entitled ‘How The Other Half Live’. In this episode, we saw that Eric worried unnecessarily about the security of his job. Tami became friends with Katie McCoy, the newcomer. Matt and Julie reconciled and Lyla has worries about Riggins as he’s working along with Billy on a money making scheme. Following it was the episode entitled ‘Hello, Goodbye’. This was the episode where Smash said a goodbye to the team. Matt found himself squashed in between his mother and grandmother and in such hard family times, he received support from Julie. Tyra and Cash began dating each other. Then, came the episode entitled ‘Every Rose has Its Thorn’. In this episode, Tyra came to know about a new trait of Cash’s personality. Erin disappointed Jason. Matt got by his mother and also dealt with McCoy who’s getting more than enough limelight. In the next episode entitled ‘It Ain’t Easy Being J.D. McCoy’, we saw that Coach Taylor was unhappy with team after he came to know about how they’d been hazing the freshmen. JD received the respect of the town and the team with open hands. On the other hand, Julie and Matt were seen taking a late night hang out. A woman’s claim about Cash’s involvement into something troubled Tyra. Next episode in row was ‘Keeping Up Appearance’. Here we saw Eric and Tami trying to calm down JaMarcus’ angry parents. Billy urges Tim to go after a Scholarship. On the other hand, unexpected good news was waiting for Jason, Herc and Riggins. In the ‘New York, New York’, Jason revealed his intentions about leaving Dillon and this upset Tim. Things started getting out of the hand of Cash and she rested on Cash in such severe conditions. Julie discussed Matt’s ideas with her father. Then came the episode entitled ‘Game of the Week’. We saw Panthers playing a televised game after being elected as the high school game of the week. Cash exposed his actual self to Tyra and the lady was in dangerous condition after finding it. Riggins were unable to decide whether or not he should got to meet a College coach. Next episode in row was ‘The Giving Tree’. Here, we saw Buddy discussing the financial crisis with Lyla. Julie and Matt were sleeping together and Coach Taylor saw them. JD didn’t have an interest in the advice given by his father. The latest episode of season was entitled ‘A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall’. Matt’s grand mother met an accident. Coach Taylor and Tami came to know about a change that could break apart the Panthers team. Tim discovered another side of Lyla. Desperate Tyra went to Landry for help.

The remaining episodes of Friday Night Lights season 3 are ‘Underdogs’ and ‘Tomorrow Blues’. These two episodes will be aired on January 7 and January 14, 2009 respectively.
