Kyle Chandler took birth in Buffalo, New York. His mother Sally was a dog breeder and father Edward Chandler was a farm owner and pharmaceutical sales representative. Kyle grew up in Loganville, Georgia and he joined University of Georgia.
In 1988, an ABC scout signed him on a talent- search. His first TV appearance was on the ABC show ‘Homefront’, portraying the character of Cleveland Indians rightfielder Jeff Metcalf. Kyle next appeared on the CBS television series ‘Early Edition’ in which he portrayed the character of Gary Hobson, a stockbroker and the central character of the series. In 1996, he got Saturn Award for Best Actor on Television for his excellent performance as Gary on ‘Early Edition’.
Kyle made his next appearance on the ABC Comedy series ‘What About Joan’, playing the character of Jake Evans, an investment banker. In the short lived series ‘The Lyon’s Den’, he was seen portraying Grant Rashton, a lawyer. His next appearance was on ‘Tour of Duty’.
In 2006, Kyle Chandler made a guest appearance on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in an episode of series namely “It’s The End of The World” & “As We Know It”, a two -part episodes. His breakthrough performance made him to receive a nomination for Primetime Emmy Awards in the category of ‘Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series’. He once again made appearance on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in 2007 in two episodes, ‘Drowning on Dry Land’ and ‘Some Kind of Miracle’. In the very same year, Kyle made appearance on the big screen movie ‘The Kingdom’. In 2007, he received a nomination for Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Drama. Kyle landed the role of Coach Eric Taylor in the NBC popular drama ‘Friday Night Lights’.

Kyle Chandler appears as Eric Taylor on ‘Friday Night Lights‘. He’s the head coach of the Dillon High School Football Team, known as the Dillon Panthers. As series’ first season came to an end, he became the quarterback coach at the fictional Texas Methodist University. In the second season, he returned to Dillon Panthers as their coach. This appearance is surely one of his best appearances on TV and the man is also best known for his role of Eric Taylor.
