As reports confirm, Connie will be playing the character of a forty-year-old music superstar from Nashville, Rayna, who is left with no other option, but to team up with Juliette Barnes, a teen breakout, on her tour for her solo album sales were already struggling.

Well, the plot seems interesting, and so does the character. On top of everything else, the character of a mature singer, who’d seen the world is one that comes rarely, and is one that I guess, Connie will be able to render a lot of justice to.

Nashville will be written and directed by Callie Khouri, and R.J. Cutler, and will have Steve Buchanan as one of its executive producers alongside Cutler.

Well, Connie was seen happy, as she said that she loved working on television, and that she expected the role to give her something that she hasn’t received from another, as yet.

Connie Britton will now join the cast of Nashville that already included the likes of Clare Bowen Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Powers Boothe, Panettiere, Eric Close and, Robert Wisdom.

Creative pursuit has one inherent advantage that they don’t let you remain idle for a long while.

This contention certainly holds true in case of the maker of this sports drama, Peter Berg.

When Mr. Berg was roped in recently by the NBC for the ‘Voice super bowl ad’ the move was bound to make waves.

That certainly adds another feather to the already illustrious cap of Peter Berg who would be getting to work on this ad titled, ‘Vokal Kombat’.

And as the mere title is suggestive itself that vocal honchos would be battling against each other trying to prove their superiority.

So Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green would be seen implementing martial tricks and all sorts of chicanery only to emerge as a winner.

Well, that seems to be an interesting theme what say!

Ever since the sports drama, Friday Night Lights, came to an end in February, 2011, the fans have been busy speculating when they would get to see a movie based on the franchise.

The stars of the show have, in the meanwhile, decided to move on, at least on the professional front.

No wonder, that the world of Navy officers has, ever since, emerged to be an enchanting one, with a probable aroma of romance out there!

So, as this buzz comes treading along, that actor Gaius Charles would be portraying the part of a navy officer in an upcoming batch of ‘Pan Am’, one couldn’t help but muse with wonder, what it is all about.

The underlying factoids go something like this: set in the backdrop of 1963, Joe (Gaius Charles) belonging to Mississippi, is a navy officer, who by way of chance, meets Laura (played by Margot Robbie) on a flight.

Racial issues crop up and mar this sweet love story, with its culmination being left in a direction from where several conjectures can be drawn.

Guess I would eagerly wait for this one, though one must admit that we don’t really have a penchant for sad love stories. So, it is bound to have a happy ending, at least from my side.

This would certainly elate the Smash fans, who have gone for long, pandering themselves with nothing but a Friday Night Lights download and yielding to that temptation.

Brian ‘Smash’ Williams, belonging to the Dillon High School Panthers, was an interesting character in his own ways.

One used to watch out for him, especially when he turned a new leaf, after having a scandalous stint with drugs.

After playing this ideal homemaker, Connie is now all set to make an appearance on a psycho-sexual thriller.

Not that I have already stereotyped her, but the ‘Tami’ image of hers, is so well-etched in my mind, that it would be hard to shatter!

Her new assignment is ‘American Horror Story’ and its video-teaser has already left everyone wide-mouthed, guessing about the ghastly affair that its subsequent batches would plunge us into.

If you thought that it would be all about dangling bodies, latex suits and other such paraphernalia, hang on guys!

You might be on the wrong route altogether!

As far as we know, it would be about a family relocating from Boston to a Los Angeles mansion, where the spooky tale begins!

Would Connie be able to send across those shudders?

I really don’t have doubt on her potential, because I know that she a true talent!

In the wake of the special place the show has made in our lives, wouldn’t it have been better if the entire 5-year tale was compressed in a 2-hour movie?

Anyway, FNL has its league of fans that would go to any extent to catch up with the forthcoming movie. There is this hush-hush talk as well, if Mr. Berg should leave the saga there and then.

Well, sobs are much better than harsh criticism, and spoiling the taste for once and all!

We can just hope that Peter Berg’s every step ahead, is a carefully guarded one!
